Howard Awarded the Lowell Reed Lectureship

November 20, 2014

Congratulations to Dr. George Howard in the Biostatistics Department, who will be delivering the Lowell Reed Lecture on November 18th, at the APHA meeting.

The Lowell Reed lectureship is awarded from the Applied Public Health Statistics Section of the American Public Health Association, and George joins a distinguished list of previous lecturers.

The Statistics Section of APHA, organized in 1908, provides a focus for people involved and/or interested in public health statistics. It serves as the APHA focal point that identifies issues, develops strategies and promotes activities in the area of statistics. The Section also provides a common forum to exchange experiences and knowledge in statistics, which contributes to the activities of APHA and shares in the general responsibilities of the public health movement.

Dr. Howard will present at the APHA meeting on November 18, 2014 during the Applied Public Health Statistics award luncheon from 12:30-2:00 PM.

Congratulations again, George!
