Allison named Fellow of the Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research

Through a highly selective process, David B. Allison, PhD, Distinguished Professor, Director of the Nutrition Obesity Research Center (NORC), and Associate Dean for Research and Science for the School of Health Professions, has been elected as a Fellow to the Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research (ABMR). Allison joins a notable group of influential leaders in being recognized for his impressive productivity and outstanding accomplishments in the field.

As a Fellow in this honorary organization for researchers at the common border of behavior and medicine, Allison plans to continue the work of eminent senior investigators who have also served in ABMR.

Allison will be presented as a new member at the 2017 ABMR Conference, to be held June 21–24 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Professor Allison stated that he is “honored to be inducted into such an esteemed organization in which many of my heroes of the field, like Albert (Mickey) Stunkard and Neal Miller, served as founders.”
