Sarah received her Bachelor’s of Science in Family Consumer Sciences at George Fox University in 2013 and her Masters in Nutrition Sciences at Texas Woman’s University in 2017. In 2017 she was accepted into the Nutrition Sciences doctoral program at UAB and began working under Dr. Barbara Gower and Dr. Amy Goss. Sarah’s current research aims to help illuminate the contribution of ancestral DNA to different metabolic phenotypes documented in African American populations and the extent strategic dietary intervention can influence disease outcomes.
